MIXED AGE<br> CLASSROOMS

The primary school curriculum design in SKEI is based on ALPS, a Multi-Dimensional Multi-Level (MDML) philosophy, which helps to ensure that each and every child learns at their own pace to become independent and autonomous learners. ALPS classrooms are unique, fostering mixed-aged group collaboration, self and peer-learning through carefully designed activities for various types of learners. In these well ventilated classrooms, there are no boundaries for learning that help children to excel in areas that they like. Using Learning Ladders and immersive technology, children find and develop their own learning routines helping in retention. Based on this philosophy, teachers attempt to create an atmosphere of space, freedom, care and security in which students are encouraged to expand their horizons and grow.
